INSULATION: Is the primary goal of our program.  If required, insulation is installed by an in-house team of Energy Technicians.  This insulation is blown into attics & wall cavities of site-built homes.  Site-built homes may also require perimeter or floor insulation.  This will be determined at the time the house is audited.  Mobile homes may require insulation in the belly, sidewalls or roof cavities, depending upon the condition of the mobile at the time of the audit.

BLOWER DOOR:  The blower door is a diagnostic tool that may be used by the ERC Energy Technician to determine air leakage in a home.  The computer calculations derived from the blower door test readings allow the Energy Technicians to better understand the home.  If a home is tightened too much, ventilation problems may occur, causing moisture to stay inside the home, building mold and mildew.  Air leakage work will be performed as determined by the blower door test.  General heat waste measure may include weather-stripping doors and sealing the penetrations in the basement, crawlspace and attic.

ADDITIONAL REPAIRS:  Additional minor repairs may be done if they are required for the installation of insulation or weatherization measures.
